Our Geldings

We believe in geldings, and think everyone should have at least one! Geldings make great pets, and do well in the show ring. They are gentle, loving, and fun to be around. Not everyone needs a breeding jack, and not every jack is breeding quality, so if you see one of our young jacks you like that has not yet been gelded, feel free to inquire about our gelding incentive. We truly believe that promoting geldings will help the future of the miniature donkey breed.

I purchased Solar with the dream of being able to compete in performance and gaming classes, with a gelding that could do it all. Well, Solar has made that dream come true. He has a HUGE heart when faced with new challenges, gives everything he can of himself, and keeps trying for more. Not to mention the fact that he is gorgeous. This is one classy gelding! We bonded the moment we met, and I knew he was the right donkey for me. Solar has wiggled his way into my heart, and fills a place nobody else can. He is a very special donkey to me, and has quickly become part of my life.

Mookie, as we call him, came to us in a round about way, but I'm sure glad he did. He is a half brother to Solar and I love him just for that, but he really is a sweet boy too. Mookie has a beautiful head and is a great little driving gelding. He can really move out, and is a beautiful mover. He was trained by Wayne Lyon and shown very briefly in green classes. Now he gets to start in the open with limited showing, but I think he is going to be fine. He needs a little stability and love in his life, along with a person to love, and he has found that here. I'm looking forward to showing Mookie and being his person.

I just love this guy. He is always so eager to do whatever I ask him to do, and really enjoys working. Ransom is a full brother to Good as Gold, IsaBell, and Black Suede. He is built like a tank, with a full round rear end, and a beautiful front end on him. The thing I love most about him is his mind. He is so smart and willing. Ransom has already started his show career off with a bang and I expect him to follow in his siblings footsteps. I have always wanted to raise my own gelding for the show ring and to train for performance and driving. Ransom is going to be the one, and I really look forward to the upcoming years with him.
